Directions and Parking – Lake Merritt Location

Parking is available at the restaurant, by valet, or on the street. Pass through the Lake Chalet Restaurant to get to the boating dock or inquire at the front desk. We encourage guests to arrive early and enjoy the all the amenities our destination has to offer.

Walking from Lake Merritt BART

From the Lake Merritt station, walk northeast on Oak Street toward 10th Street. Oak Street will become Lakeside Drive. The Lake Chalet is at 1520 Lakeside Drive. Google Map walking directions

Driving from San Francisco

Merge onto I-80 E via the ramp on the left toward Oakland.
Merge onto I-580 E toward CA-24/Hayward-Stockton.
Merge onto I-980 W.
Take the I-880 S exit.
Take the Jackson Street exit.
Stay straight to go onto 5th Street.
Turn left onto Oak Street.
Oak Street becomes Lakeside Drive
1520 Lakeside Drive is on the right.

Driving from the South Bay

Merge onto I-880 N toward Oakland.
Take the Oak Street exit toward Lakeside Drive.
Turn right onto Oak Street.
Oak Street becomes Lakeside Drive.
1520 Lakeside Drive is on the right.

Driving from the North Bay

Merge onto I-80 W toward San Francisco.
Take I-580 toward Hayward.
Exit Harrison, go right off the exit.
Take Harrison to Madison street and veer right.
Make a left on 14th Street.
Make the first left onto Lakeside Drive.
1520 Lakeside Drive is on the right.
